Largest Number of Detected Malwares in Four Years

Latest report* released by a security company claims that there has been a 1.5 million increase in detected malware since Q1 of 2012. Apart from the usual malwares attached to emails, applications, websites, and other codes accessible via a personal computer, malwares today are slowly becoming rampant across a number of other platforms and devices.

The report further says that new generation malwares particularly designed for mobile devices are seen to be on the rise.
